San Diego
A 19-year-old San Diego man was in critical condition Monday after being stabbed in a restroom at Patrick Henry High School by a 15-year-old student, police said. Rafael Abdullah, a former student at the school in San Carlos, was stabbed repeatedly in the stomach after engaging in a fistfight with the student, police spokesman Bill Robinson said. Police consider the stabbing to be gang-related, he said.
The student, whose name is being withheld because of his age, was being detained by police for questioning and was expected to be turned over to juvenile authorities on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
