The experimental airplane Voyager’s takeoff on an attempt to circle the globe without refueling has been postponed because new propellers were late in arriving from the manufacturer. A project spokesman said Voyager, which had been scheduled to leave Edwards Air Force Base on Sept. 14, will undergo further testing and a new departure date will be set when it is completed. Voyager has two engines, one in front and one in back to push. Both engines will be used to get the plane into the air, but only its efficient rear engine will run once it reaches cruising altitude.
