Share

Trustees for the Santa Fe Springs-based Little Lake City School District have voted to spend the third allocation of lottery funds on programs that directly benefit schoolchildren.

The largest allocation--$53,348--will go toward hiring two art and music teachers to renew interest in the two subjects at the elementary schools. After-school sports, the instructional materials center and an anti-drug program will each receive $15,000; the library program will receive $9,000, and a program for gifted children will receive $6,000.
