Transamerica Occidental will restructure.
The giant insurer described the restructuring of its insurance operations as “an effort to increase efficiency” in the company’s group health and life insurance operations. Some 50 employees at Transamerica’s Los Angeles headquarters and an additional 25 workers in regional offices will lose their jobs as a result of the reorganization.
