Around the Area: Mark Grace, a 1982 graduate of Tustin High School, was voted the Most Valuable player of the Chicago Cubs’ Class-A team in Peoria, Ill. Grace led the team in home runs (15), batting average (.341), and RBIs (94). The first baseman also set the team record for hits with 158. The previous mark was 146.
