Newport, La Habra Museums Get Funds
Newport Harbor Art Museum has received two grants totaling $21,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts for improvements on its permanent collection of post-1945 California art.
The grants will be used to treat several works needing conservation and to improve storage and humidity control conditions.
Meanwhile, the La Habra Children’s Museum has received a $30,856 grant from the national Institute of Museum Services. The money will be used for general operating support, including programs, salaries and marketing, said director Catherine Michaels. The museum is located in a restored train depot on South Euclid Street.
