U.S. Trade Deficit

I found Margolin’s answer to the Nobel laureates’ pro-free trade letter quite to the point. As an erstwhile free-trade advocate, I believe that commerce has gotten much more complicated over the years, making simple ideas unworkable.
What we really need is fair trade! This Administration has not done enough in opening up Japan, Taiwan and Korea to our exports. After all, we are the main market for these countries and should have the clout to make something good happen.
