Standard & Poor’s has placed Western Airlines’ $80.9-million, B+ rated senior debt on ‘CreditWatch’ with positive implications . . . The Hormone Research Foundation and its licensee, Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. have filed a suit against Genentech, alleging patent infringement by Genentech in its manufacture and sale of recombinant human growth hormone . . . Burbank-based Compact Video signed a letter of intent to buy Adams Drug, a chain of pharmacies in the Northeast, in a $95-million deal that would reshuffle interests held by financier Ronald O. Perelman . . . Logicon Inc. increased its quarterly cash common-stock dividend paid to seven cents per share from five cents, payable Oct. 14 to shareholders of record Sept. 26 . . . International Paper said that it received about 94% of Hammermill Paper’s common stock by the time its $1.1-billion tender offer for all of Hammermill’s shares expired.
