Emulex Announces Sales Pacts Worth $8 Million

Emulex Corp. of Costa Mesa has announced the signing of sales contracts worth approximately $8 million for its line of small computer interface controllers.

Customers include Cipher Corp. in San Diego, whose contract was worth $3 million; Archive Corp. in Costa Mesa, which bought about $2 million worth of the products; Tandberg Corp. in Anaheim, which bought $1.5 million worth of the devices; Novell Corp. in Utah, whose contract is worth $500,000, and Sun Microsystems Inc. in Mountain View, which purchased $1 million worth of the products.

The Emulex devices control the operations of computers and the peripheral devices attached to them.
