An El Cajon resident whose house was raided and believed to contain $44 million worth of methamphetamine pleaded innocent Monday to manufacturing the drug.

Mark Humphrey White, 29, was ordered held in County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.

White is also charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell and receiving stolen property. El Cajon Police raided the lab Thursday, which is next door to Anza Elementary School.

San Diego Municipal Court Judge Lillian ordered that any bail posted for White should list the source of the money. A bail review of Sept. 22 was set and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 6.

Detectives discovered 150 gallons of what is believed to be methamphetamine oil, and Lattuca said laboratory tests are being performed on the various substances.

Lattuca declined to say if further arrests are expected or if White is believed to be the ringleader.

The seizure is the largest amount of the drug ever discovered in El Cajon.
