CBS WILL REPEAT ‘CRACK STREET’

“48 Hours on Crack Street,” the highly rated CBS News documentary presented earlier this month, will be aired for a second time next Friday night beginning at 11:30 p.m. (Channels 2 and 8).

The program, anchored by Dan Rather, surveys the drug scene as investigated by CBS News correspondents over one weekend in August in New York. They saw the impact of drugs on hospitals, police departments, drug treatment centers, parks, sports arenas, in wealthy and poor areas.

What they found, according to executive producer Lane Venardos, was “a much more extensive problem than we had imagined.”
