Redondo Beach : Meeting Rules Revised
The City Council has unanimously approved revised rules of conduct for council meetings, which it agreed to conclude by 11 p.m.
The new rules cut public presentations to the council from six minutes to three. The mayor and City Council must approve any exceptions.
The rules also allow audience members to pull any item from the consent portion of the agenda--routine matters voted on as a package and usually not discussed--for separate council consideration. All the changes took effect immediately.
