A Boston-area woman who police say was killed by her husband had been berated by a judge when she went to court in March seeking protection from him, records show. Somerville District Judge Paul P. Heffernan issued the protection order, but first told Pamela Dunn, 22, she was doing a “disservice to the taxpayers” by taking up the court’s time when it “has a lot more serious matters to contend with,” according to court recordings reviewed by the Boston Sunday Globe. The body of the woman was found Aug. 17. Police have issued a first-degree murder warrant and a nationwide bulletin for her husband, Paul Dunn.
