2nd Nominee Picked for Judgeship in Alabama

WASHINGTON — President Reagan will nominate Alex T. Howard Jr., 62, for a new federal judgeship in Mobile, Ala., the White House announced Tuesday.
Howard is the second person recommended by Sen. Jeremiah Denton (R-Ala.) for the post. The first, U.S. Atty. Jefferson B. Sessions III, was nominated by Reagan but rejected by the Senate Judiciary Committee.
