Charges that Austrian President Kurt Waldheim initialed anti-Jewish propaganda leaflets during World War II are “without foundation,” a Waldheim spokesman said in Vienna. World Jewish Congress investigators said they have found pamphlets in the U.S. National Archives bearing slogans such as, “Enough of the Jewish war, kill the Jews, come over.” The leaflets were to be dropped behind Soviet lines. The congress said that the leaflets, index and cover report were initialed by Waldheim on Nov. 28, 1944. Waldheim served as an officer in the German army in World War II, but an Austrian spokesman said he lacked the authority to deal with such documents.
