Confirmation of Rehnquist
It can now be said that 65 U.S. senators have said to minority groups, blacks and women that you are second-class citizens and as far as we are concerned you will always be just that.
By voting for Rehnquist the senators are supporting an individual who opposes school desegregation--how else can we get children of different colored skins to live together as adults? He supports religion in schools and thus forces people of different or no religious affiliation to adhere to a predetermined religion not of their choice, and finally he opposes women having equal rights.
These 65 senators have cast a long black shadow on this country that we all have to live with and have thereby set our country back 36 years.
