China Bus Plunge Kills 24

PEKING —
A bus crashed down a slope in southern Guangdong province and burst into flames, killing 24 people and injuring 26, the official China Daily newspaper said Friday. The report said the accident occurred Monday about 60 miles northeast of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, which is near Hong Kong, when the bus swerved to avoid an oncoming truck.
