Information on Services for New Year

Here is a partial list of Rosh Hashanah services in Orange County. Those interested in attending are advised to call the temple offices for tickets:

Temple Beth Emet, 1770 W. Cerritos Ave., Anaheim. Services will begin at 8 tonight and at 8:30 and 10 a.m. Saturday. The synagogue office will be open until noon today. For more information, call (714) 772-4720.

Temple Bat Yahm, 1011 Camelback St., Newport Beach. Services begin at 8 tonight and continue at 10 a.m. Saturday. A youth service, geared toward students in grades 1-8, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, with a service for preschoolers scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Child care will be available by reservation. Congregation B’nai Israel, 655 S. B St., Tustin. Services will be held at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge, 212 Elk Lane, at 8 p.m. Friday. A 9 a.m. service will be held Saturday at the Elks Lodge, with an evening service at 6:30 p.m. at the synagogue. Sunday services include a 9 a.m. service at the Elks Lodge and an evening service at 6:30 at the synagogue. Child care is available by reservation only. Tickets will be sold at the synagogue office from 10 a.m. till noon today. All Jewish military personnel and college students will be admitted without tickets. Services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday and 9 and 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 24755 Trabuco Road, Lake Forest. Sunday services will be held at 9 a.m. at Temple Eilat, 22081 Hidalgo, Mission Viejo. Child care will be available by reservation only.
