A bill that finances U.S. intelligence activities in fiscal 1987 was approved by the House in a voice vote. The measure also requires new reports on such subjects as Soviet military capabilities, possible Soviet sabotage of the space shuttle Challenger and possible KGB penetration of the CIA and State Department. Financing and intelligence activities covered by the super-secret bill, which was worked out by a House-Senate conference committee, were not disclosed. No action has been taken by the full Senate on the measure.
