Four military veterans who are fasting on the Capitol steps in Washington to protest U.S. policy in Central America said they will continue their demonstration until America stops supporting the contras who are fighting the Sandinista government in Nicaragua. One of the veterans, George Mizo of Boston, said that the four, including a Medal of Honor winner from the Vietnam War, have been taking only water and a potassium supplement. Mizo said he has lost about 35 pounds in five weeks.
