Head of Tobacco Industry Lobbying Group to Retire

WASHINGTON —
Former Rep. Horace R. Kornegay of North Carolina said Thursday that he is retiring after 16 years as head of the Tobacco Institute, a lobbying group for the tobacco industry. Kornegay, a Democrat who served four terms in the House, will join a Greensboro, N.C., law firm.
