Beach Cleanup: Results are in for the second annual statewide beach cleanup program conducted two weeks ago by the California Coastal Commission, and it appears that more than 3,000 volunteers picked up and carted away more than 110,000 pounds of litter. In Orange County, 125 volunteers collected debris around the Bolsa Chica wetlands off Pacific Coast Highway north of Huntington Beach, according to Adrianne Morrison of Amigos de Bolsa Chica, while at Sunset Beach, 12 Boy Scouts collected litter, Coastal Commission chairman Michael Wornum said.
