“Foghorn Leghorn’s Fractured Funnies.” Warner. $17.98. Cartoon director Robert McKimson based his loudmouthed Southern rooster on Kenny Delmar’s “Senator Claghorn From Bighorn” on the Fred Allen radio show. McKimson uses exaggerated, hammy poses and expressions to make Leghorn look and act like a blowhard, and Mel Blanc delivers an endless stream of bromides with gusto (“Nice girl, but about as sharp as a sack of wet mice!”) As the character and the situations remain the same, it’s best to watch one or two of the eight cartoons at a time.
