U.S. Debt

Share

An interesting financial statistic surfaced the other day. On Sept. 26, 1981, the national debt of our United States crossed the $1 trillion mark for the first time. But just five years later, in this year of 1986, that debt exceeds $2 trillion!

I suppose the obvious conclusion is that President Reagan and his “conservative” Administration will bow to no one when it comes to spending the bucks--bucks, unfortunately, that we don’t have.

If there were an international bankruptcy court would we be entitled to file under Chapter 11?
