Redondo Beach : Leaf Blower Ordinance
The City Council gave preliminary approval this week to an ordinance that would prohibit the use of leaf blowers in the evenings and early mornings.
The council voted unanimously to introduce an ordinance which, if passed, will make it illegal to operate a motorized leaf blower between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. Monday through Friday and 6 p.m. through 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. If approved at the next council meeting, the law will take effect Nov. 20.
