MEDIA ACCESS AWARDS : GROUPS HONORED FOR PORTRAYALS OF DISABLED

Julianna Fjeld received the Individual Achievement Award Thursday at the Eighth Annual Media Access Awards banquet, which honored individuals, groups and productions that realistically and accurately portray people with disabilities in television, film, radio, theater and print media.

Fjeld was co-executive producer for the Emmy Award-winning “Hallmark Hall of Fame” drama, “Love Is Never Silent,” which focused on deaf parents raising their hearing daughter.
