Kojak is coming back in another TV movie for CBS. This one is called “Kojak: The Investigation.” Telly Savalas, who played Lt. Theo Kojak for five years during the 1970s, reprises his role of a tough New York policeman. Kate Nelligan co-stars as a mother whose two children have been found dead.

Happy Holidays: Edward Asner is starring in “The Christmas Star,” a two-hour TV movie for ABC about a con man who is mistaken for Santa Claus by two children. . . . Katherine Helmond and Sid Caesar have the lead roles in “Christmas Snow,” another holiday special in the works for NBC. Caesar plays a landlord who is intent on evicting Helmond and her two adopted children in the midst of the holiday season.

Charles Durning stars in the Oct. 20 edition of “Amazing Stories” on NBC. He plays a man who’s convinced that his dream about a jetliner crash is a premonition, and he sets out to stop the flight before it takes off.

Guest stars: Candy Clark reprises her role of a call girl in Wednesday’s episode of “Magnum, P.I.” on CBS. . . . Elke Sommer plays a maid on NBC’s “St. Elsewhere” Wednesday. . . .
