Saxe, Baker Promoted to Executive Posts at Wangtek

Wangtek, a Simi Valley maker of tape drives that store computer data, named Richard Saxe to the newly created position of chief operating officer.

Saxe joined Wangtek, a division of Culver City-based Rexon, in April as the company’s operations manager. Since 1979, he has held various management positions at companies headed by Rexon’s chairman, Q.T. Wiles.

In addition, Jay Baker was named director of Wangtek’s sales and marketing, also a new position. He previously was the company’s national sales director.
