Americans Warned of Attack in Austria

VIENNA — The U.S. Embassy, diplomats and other American institutions were placed under special police protection today after authorities received a report of a planned terrorist attack.
The Austria Press Agency reported that the government had received a tip that two armed commandos of the Abu Nidal terrorist group were on the way from the Middle East to Vienna for attacks against U.S. installations somewhere in Europe.
