Share

Karin Freeman, chairman of the education committee of the local Chamber of Commerce, has been named a provisional school board member in the Yorba Linda School District.

Freeman was appointed last week to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Paul Broughton, who moved from the school district. Freeman will complete the remaining year of Broughton’s term, which expires in November, 1987, unless a special election is called.

Freeman is treasurer of Yorba Linda for Education, a foundation that supports activities in the school district, and she is a past president of Linda Vista Elementary School Parents-Teachers Assn. She was an unsuccessful candidate for the Fullerton Joint Union High School District school board in 1985.
