Nester berates Reagan and calls him a hypocrite for criticizing the Soviets for, as Nester puts it: “ ‘maintaining’ troops in Afghanistan but sending our National Guard to train in Latin America.”
While “maintaining” their troops, the Russians have managed to kill about 100,000 hapless Afghan natives. To the best of my knowledge, no citizen of Honduras (the site of the operation) was killed or injured as a result of the maneuvers.
