Republican Vice President George Bush and Democratic Sen. Gary Hart of Colorado would win about the same share of the popular vote if the 1988 presidential election was held now, according to a Gallup poll. Bush and Hart each received the support of 46% of registered voters nationwide, with 8% naming other candidates or undecided. The figures showed no change from those recorded in three trial elections conducted earlier this year.
