Share

Members of the San Diego Symphony have organized a number of concerts on their own to be played over the next month. While the regular fall season is on hold, these performances will provide a sampling of orchestral programs in places as varied as the East County Performing Arts Center in El Cajon and the Fashion Valley Shopping Center. Here are some of the programs.

- Saturday at 1 and 3 p.m. A string ensemble will play outside in Fashion Valley shopping center.

- Sunday at 7:30 p.m. An all-Mozart concert featuring 30 musicians will be given at the First Unitarian Church of San Diego. Four soloists from the orchestra’s woodwind sections will perform selected concerto movements; Matthew Garbutt, former resident conductor of the San Diego Pops, will conduct.
