Natural gas prices may have fallen about 24% in the last two years, but residential prices are down only 3%, a consumers group reported. By contrast, prices major industries are paying dropped 21%, the Citizen-Labor Energy Coalition said. Homeowners and other small consumers of natural gas “have been denied systematically over $3 billion in benefits from falling gas prices,” according to the report. The report blamed interstate pipeline companies and local gas utilities for overcharging.
