A Casino Control Commission lawyer in New Jersey said Hilton Hotels officials met informally with commission members recently to discuss the possibility of renewing a bid for casino licensing. Two years ago, the commission refused to license a Hilton casino in Atlantic City, criticizing the firm’s former ties with Sidney Korshak, a lawyer described by the U.S. Justice Department as a “senior adviser” to organized crime groups.
