Spurred by improved profit margins and a 19% gain in revenue, second-quarter net earnings rose 45% over the prior-year period at Computer Sciences Corp. of El Segundo. The strong quarterly performance reflected “over-all margin improvement, an aggressive acquisition program and strengthened federal government marketing,” the firm said. Strongest revenue and profit gains for the quarter came from the company’s commercial markets.
