HONG KONG — Queen Elizabeth II, on the last day of a whirlwind visit, toured a shopping mall this morning and sipped tea in a housing project where, in a rare break with protocol, she gave a 9-year-old boy her autograph--”Elizabeth R.”
She wound up her tour of Hong Kong with a day at the races and a fireworks extravaganza that attracted more than 600,000 people. The queen flies home Thursday morning.
