Malibu : U.N. Arms Control Conference
Representatives from the United States, China, East and West Germany, Trinidad and Tobago and the United Nations will participate in an international arms control conference Saturday at the Pepperdine University School of Law.
The conference, which will start at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m., will focus on compliance. The discussion is being sponsored by the Foundation for the Establishment of an International Criminal Court, a U.N. affiliate headed by Robert K. Woetzel, who will chair the meeting.
Experts scheduled to appear include Frank Gaffney, U.S. assistant secretary of defense for strategic nuclear forces; Vladimir Golubkov, an arms control expert from the Soviet consulate in San Francisco; China Ambassador San Guoxiang; East German Ambassador Siegried Zachman; West German Consul General Gunther Joetze, and chairman of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago’s House of Representatives, A.N.R. Robinson. Others from Pepperdine, the U.N. and West Germany also are slated to take part.
