A Pakistan International Airlines plane on a domestic flight crashed, and officials said at least 13 people were killed and 22 injured. Airline officials said the propeller-driven Fokker Friendship F-27 slammed into an empty field as it approached the airport at the western frontier city of Peshawar, about 50 miles from the Afghan border. The plane, which was on a flight from the eastern city of Lahore, was carrying 49 passengers and five crew members. Airline officials said they did not know what caused the crash.
