United Nations Day Proclaimed by Reagan

WASHINGTON —
President Reagan declared today United Nations Day, warning at the same time that the world organization is threatened by “a crisis of cash and credibility” that only its member states can resolve.
In a proclamation issued Thursday, Reagan said, “We have a better world today because of the United Nations and its various international organizations.”
