27 Vehicles in Pileup on N.J. Road; 18 Hurt

GLOUCESTER CITY, N.J. —
Twenty-seven vehicles piled up near a bridge exit ramp today, and at least 18 people were injured, officials said.
The pileup occurred near the Walt Whitman Bridge connecting Philadelphia and New Jersey when traffic was stopped because of a previous collision, police said. Two cars caught fire and were destroyed.
