‘Support for the Justices’
Your editorial came as a breath of fresh air amidst all the clamor for the recall of certain justices. If the judiciary of our American system becomes a political football, we will have lost one of the stabilizing basis of our form of government.
The California Church Council in a recent statement confirms the point of your editorial. The 23-member board is composed of representatives of “mainline” denominations from both Northern and Southern California. They voted unanimously to support all six Supreme Court justices for reelection.
