James Buddle has resigned as president of Arrays Inc., a Van Nuys developer of personal computer software. He will continue with the company as a consultant.

Arrays has agreed to merge with Haba Systems, a privately held Van Nuys software developer that owns a controlling interest in Arrays. Buddle, who joined Arrays in 1984 and was named president last year, is not expected to be replaced, a company spokeswoman said.

Chaz Haba, Haba Systems’ chief executive, is also chief executive of Arrays, the spokeswoman said.
