A girl injured by an adverse reaction to a vaccine pleaded with President Reagan to sign legislation that would provide federal funds to help youngsters who share her plight. “We need you to care about us,” Stacy Scholl, 10, of St. Petersburg, Fla., told the absent Reagan at a Washington news conference. Flanked by lawmakers, businessmen and representatives of medical groups, the girl urged the President to sign the legislation, which would also benefit pharmaceutical houses that have been hit with lawsuits over vaccine injuries.
