TV Shows Hostage’s Daughter

BEIRUT —
Television stations in Beirut broadcast a one-minute videotape today showing the 16-month-old daughter of kidnaped newsman Terry Anderson--a child the American hostage has never seen in person.
The tape was made to mark Anderson’s 39th birthday and sent to Beirut in the hope his captors would let him see the TV showing. Sulome Theresa Anderson was shown in the tape sitting on a lawn chair, holding and kissing a black-and-white picture of her father.
