Carson : Minibus System Praised

The Carson Circuit, the city’s minibus transit system, has been cited for excellence by the League of California Cities, winning first place in the category of public works and transportation at the league’s annual meeting last week.
Carson, which began its bus operation in 1984, now uses 21-passenger buses which run on fixed routes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the week and from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays. An average of 1,500 passengers travel on the buses each day during the week and 600 on Saturdays.
