Pasadena : Hospital Receives Grant

Share

Huntington Memorial Hospital has received a $350,000 grant from the Living-at-Home Program to coordinate efforts of local agencies to help elderly people avoid premature or inappropriate placement in institutions.

The Pasadena hospital was one of 19 agencies nationwide and the only one in Southern California to receive a grant. Living-at-Home is a joint effort of 39 foundations and is administered by the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center.

The Huntington’s Senior Care Network works with 17 other agencies to provide medical and social services to the elderly so they can continue to live in their homes.
