Thin Inmate Squeezes Through Gate, Flees

LAKE CHARLES, La. —
A skinny prisoner squeezed through the rear gate of the Calcasieu Parish Jail and fled the area posing as a jogger, leaving searchers no clue to his whereabouts, authorities said.
Louis Darbonne, 32, managed to fit his 5-foot-7, 145-pound frame through a space only a few inches wide Thursday morning to gain his freedom.
