Where Is Everyone?

I don’t get it. When the ballots are counted on Proposition A (the sales tax increase), between 30% to 60% of the voters will have voted their disapproval. Yet the only organized opposition to this ill-conceived measure is the plucky little Libertarian Party.
Now, I don’t consider myself a libertarian, but I wonder who else is looking out for the common taxpayer. Where are the Democrats and the Republicans? Where are the conservative newspapers? Is the Establishment so out of touch with half the voters?
If this lack of representation continues, maybe we will have to reassess our devotion to the two-party system.
