More than 20 British nurses who were deported from Saudi Arabia after attending an illegal drinking party flew to London and warned others not to travel to the strict Muslim kingdom because of tightening curbs on foreigners’ behavior. “The restrictions are getting stricter and stricter,” one said. A British Foreign Office spokesman said Saudi religious police burst into an Aug. 20 birthday party where expatriate workers were drinking homemade wine and took names. Later, 21 British nurses, an Australian and an Irish nurse were ordered out of the country. Three other British women are being held on liquor-related charges and are also expected to be deported, the spokesman said.
